The world of PR as we know is changing daily with the constant updates and strides with technology and new media. PR practitioners are utilizing blogs to stay informed and connected with the people. While email is also a quick way to communicate, using a blog means that the information on public record. Both of these new media serve as a means to contact specific audiences. A great benefit of blogging is it’s essentially free, so as long as it’s being done correctly, blogging can be very effective. With the adoption of new social media, through these various mediums, PR practitioners are able to reach a broader range of people as well as strengthen media relations. Other means include photo sharing sites, which are essential for ethnography purposes. The ability to see people through photography acting natural and using products, practitioners are able to understand how and why people are doing what they are doing.
